AJA KUMO-1616 16×16 Compact SDI Router, with 1 power supply
AJA KUMO-1616 offers the perfect size for combining multiple cameras, monitors, editing systems, tape decks, and file-based recorders into a seamless workflow with a compact 1RU profile and support for 3G-SDI/1.5G-SDI from 16x 3G-SDI inputs and 16x 3G-SDI outputs. Supports ganged dual and quad port routing control, allowing users to group together multiple inputs and outputs for Dual Link and Quad Link 4K/UltraHD workflows.
KUMO 3G-SDI routers support single link 1080p/HD/SD, high frame rate (HFR), and deep color formats. The routers offer network-based and/or physical control using KUMO CP and CP2 and offer a USB port for configuring IP addresses via AJA’s eMini-Setup software.
Built to the same quality standards as all AJA KUMO products, KUMO 1616 is the ideal choice for any situation where a balance of size, performance, and capacity is critical such as post facilities and mobile trucks.
Powerful Signal Management
AJA KUMO-1616’s powerful crosspoint routing matrix maps any input to any number of outputs without the need for additional patch panels or distribution amplifiers. Use KUMO 1616 as an affordable distribution amplifier by routing a single input to all outputs. Used in this way, a KUMO 1616 can take the place of multiple distribution amplifiers.
As 4K workflows continue to gain ground, KUMO routers can grow as you do. With a simple setting change, KUMO routers can be configured for ganged dual and quad port routing, allowing users to group together multiple inputs and outputs for a dual link, 4K/UltraHD workflows. This allows seamless routing of uncompressed or raw or 4K/UltraHD signals throughout a production or post facility. Then switch the router back to single link HD-SDI/SD-SDI operation as needed, giving you the flexibility to route virtually any format in your facility.
Compact Routing
KUMO compact SDI routers provide powerful signal control and support full broadcast specifications over 12G-SDI, 6G-SDI, 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, and SD-SDI, with quality that exceeds SMPTE specifications. The super-compact 1RU and 2RU and 4RU formats are just a few inches deep, making them a perfect fit for any broadcast, production, or post-production environment, from mobile sports trucks and edit suites, through to corporate video installations or live theatrical A/V rigs.
KUMO SDI routers are available in seven configurations: Three for 12G/6G/3G/1.5G-SDI and four for 3G/1.5G-SDI routing needs.
For 12G-SDI, look to KUMO 6464-12G for 64x 12G-SDI inputs and outputs, KUMO 3232-12G for 32x 12G-SDI inputs and outputs, or KUMO 1616-12G for 16x 12G-SDI inputs and outputs.
For 3G-SDI look to KUMO 6464 for 64x 3G-SDI inputs and outputs, KUMO 3232 for 32x 3G-SDI inputs and outputs, and KUMO 1616 for 16x 3G-SDI inputs and outputs.
Salvo Simplicity
Salvos allow an operator to quickly route a predefined set of crosspoints, connecting specific sources to destinations, at the push of a button. Salvos are easily created by simply setting up the desired routes and saving them to a button in the KUMO router’s Web UI.
Up to eight salvos can be stored in a KUMO router and can be instantly recalled via the KUMO router’s Web UI, GVG Native Protocol over Ethernet, RS-422, and/or the AJA KUMO CP2 Salvo buttons.

All items that are available for purchase online are subjected to availability.
