To accommodate the workflow flexibility demanded by professionals, the JVC JY-HM90AG0 is capable of recording in silky-smooth 36Mbps MOV Progressive 1920 x 1080 50p or AVCHD 1920 x 1080 50i Full HD resolution, as well as in standard definition.
This virtually assures compatibility with your preferred codec in a variety of workflow scenarios, with MOV format providing the highest quality in certain post-production usages as its audio is recorded in non-compressed Linear PCM.

Dual SD Card Slots for Maximum Failsafe Recording

JVC JY-HM90AG uses SDHC/SDXC memory cards, the recording media of choice for professionals, recognised for their reliability and cost-effectiveness. Failsafe shooting is further provided by the two onboard card slots, ensuring you never miss a moment. In Dual Recording Mode* (mirroring), recording is done on two cards simultaneously so you’ll always have a backup recording.
In normal usage, assured that when the card in one slot becomes full (Seamless Rec*) or encounters an error (Auto Recovery Mode*), the camcorder automatically switches to the other slot to ensure uninterrupted shooting.

World’s First AVCHD Clip Continuous Recording

As a first for AVCHD recording, this function enables you to store a number of shots together as a single clip file. Instead of having to manage enormous amounts of files, or browsing through dozens of separate files just to gather up the scene you need, you can use pre-grouped clips for easier transfer and editing.
