EDIUS DVX features hardware-based DV editing acceleration, providing
the industry’s best picture quality with unparalleled realtime
editing performance. The advanced hardware codec at the heart of
EDIUS DVX generates the realtime DV output stream without placing
any load on the CPU.
EDIUS Pro software makes EDIUS DVX
capable of the realtime, render-free output of compositions that may
feature any number of video, audio, title and graphics layers, with
keyframable 2D, 3D and alpha video transitions and sophisticated,
stackable video filters. This power is made possible by the scalable
video technology built into EDIUS Pro. Pioneered by Canopus in 1998,
scalable video technology ensures that the realtime editing
capabilities of EDIUS DVX increase with CPU power. Scalability
ensures a long product life and a high return on investment.
EDIUS DVX features advanced analog and digital video I/O and
processing to ensure the very best picture quality, with perfectly
synchronized audio, at every step of the production process.
High-quality analog output provides live, uncompressed YUV 4:2:2
video when editing in all supported applications. The proprietary
design of the IEEE 1394 DV interface found on EDIUS DVX offers
responsive, frame accurate control of DV devices and, of course,
realtime DV output from the EDIUS Pro timeline.
